"Mark and Kremont - Sad story(Out of luck) MV reaction: Boarding to the sunset"

"Mark and Kremont - Sad story(Out of luck) MV reaction: Boarding to the sunset"

This particular song really confuses me in the sense that it makes me want to groove and sing to it but the topic being discussed is really sad.I mean the line that says "Grandma is left with everything , 2 grand kids and a daughters coffin." speaks volume as to how sad this song is but then again the singers convey this dark story with some hope of understanding the main character.

So I also find weird that the singers have a clear English accent and yet everyone in this MV is Korean. We get to see our favorite long boarder do her stuff here again and the MV opens to her being stopped by a tall man that will keep on appearing as the MV moves on.

Our favorite lady boarder cruises through a crowded city seeing odd but it seems also familiar things at least to her. The tall , young man , the Asian nurse with a skirt that is way too short and 3 sexy girls that in my opinion are representing the brain with it's front face and Left and Right hemispheres. Also a student girl who drop kicks her.

As the song progresses we hear the story of a trouble young man who never seems to have the best of luck in the world. From his mother dying from a heroin overdose to an accident that would change him forever.

In the song he kills a man. In the MV he is the man who is the man who got drop kicked in the head.

"He doesn't talk to much." the song says and that is because he is perpetually trapped in his head. The representation of his brain consistently wants to wake him and so gives him these jolts of memory. And the result is all to familiar as the boy in the MV is revealed. The long boarder representing him in his thoughts is actually the nurse that takes care of him.

At the end of the song the nurse hands him his mini skateboard and he goes off again. At the very end he/she long boards away either seeking solace in the silence or finding a way out in the city in which he is now trapped in.

"Loona - Odd Eye Circle - Girlfront MV reaction:Total Recall."

"Loona - Odd Eye Circle - Girlfront MV reaction:Total Recall."
by:
The Vole

There was a week before this MV came out that I asked myself has the company funding Loona finally run dry? did they run out of money midstream into promoting what could be the next generation super group in Kpop when everyone has debuted? The reason for my worry was that after the initial teasers there was nothing but silence and there were no updates on LoonA world for awhile.

As it turns out my fear was unfounded and Odd Eye Circle promptly debuted and stole my heard. Consisting of Kim Lip , Jinsoul and Choerry this new trio from the 2nd Subunit of LoonA boasts of great vocals and visual. While Loona  1/3 boasted of the same the blond pair of Kim Lip and Jinsoul give off a more cuty sexy vibe while the presence of the innocent looking Choerry anchors everyone into the innocent and sweet territory that Loona has. Yup Choerry is there so that this unit doesn't turn out to be too sexy but fans might disagree that that same innocence fuels another aspect of their sexiness.(mainly me.)

The MV starts with Kim Lip playing a tape in reverse and the main theme of this MV is to look back and connect everyone to the past and present. Recall.

You would constantly see this as the trio turns around to look for the other members. In various spots of LA from the city to the desert they all turn around to look that the other members are there. That one long lingering shot of Jinsoul's face as she turns around with a smile on her face is worth the wait. She is so breathtakingly beautiful here. The theme of recall and a loop can also be seen near the end of the MV when the girls are reaching out or throwing paper planes and they connect with each other.

While this mainly focuses on the 3 Odd eye circle trio other members are also still present via the form of a map that has all their animal symbols meaning that they are part of something that is bigger. All those cute animal stickers.

To reinforce the recall angle there are even some parts of the MV that mix and match from the previous MV of Eclipse , Singing in the Rain and Love Cherry motion. There are lyrics from the first song and last song. Jinsoul running around. Choerry using magic portals and Kim Lip being blonde and red and sexy. Hahahahahha

There was even a vehicle that was used that made you think of a similar yellow jeep that Loona 1/3rd used in their sub unit MV. The song is about a girl who breaks the mold and confesses first to a guy she likes. It is upbeat and easy to listen to. Jinsouls rapping is cuter than ever and the other two's vocals are confident and superb. Not like rookies at all.

All in all the MV wraps up with the same cassette player ending and rewinding. More Loona connections to come.

"Midweek Magic October 2017 #36 Bruna Support"

"Midweek Magic October 2017 #36 Bruna Support"

It was a Thursday and the room was packed. It meant that there was 7 of us and the group would be too big for a single archenemy and it would be too slow for a multiplayer EDH game. So to solve it , the format for our game it turned out to be 4 opposing players against an Archenemy with 2 minion supports.

The opposing players would be Ram , Jus , Vince and Janry. Ram was designated control and General for the opposition. Jus  , Janry and Vince were the hitters.

On the Archenemy side of the table Pao , Our Archenemy was running a Mono Green Ezuri Elf ball deck. To the left was Yo with his consistent Steel Pussies deck (I know it was called something else but I still call it that). I was on the right and ran Bruna which at first glance didn't look like it could provide any support for the team. I can't be any more happier to be proven wrong.

Since I was running a deck that only had a few creatures in it I spent most of the time looking at my team mates cards and seeing what I can do. Yo and the pussies were good offense and had the annoying ability of breaking stuff like enchantments and artifacts. Pao and the Elf ball also had one of those odd creatures like the Plated Crusher in the mix and it was proving to be a great draw of concern as it cannot be taken cared off naturally with its much vaunted hexproof.

Ram who also had a Bruna deck was keeping an eye on my development as the game progressed. But the Pussies and the Plated crusher on my left were proving to be greater threats especially when I realized that all the Auras I had in my hand could be distributed to my teammates big critters and when Bruna lands on the battlefield could collect them again attaching to her when she finally attacks or blocks.

I am not at all sure what happened next because at some point I knew that Jus was churning out dragons again and that Bruna got countered once or twice ensuring that I would be in General mode and not as melee participant. Eventually we were able to eke out a win when we took out Janry and his Islands.

"Pauper Kings: Boros Dino riders! AKA Dinos on a Train"

If you thought that a plane which had pirates and dinosaurs was weird let me introduce you to something even weirder. Enter the world of Pauper Dinoriders.

When you see someone taming a dinosaur and riding on it that seems pretty ok but when you see a dinosaur riding a Vehicle well that surely is something of a different level of weird and yet here we are. Thank you Wizards of the coast for printing enough common cards to make this happen.

4 x Evolving Wilds
9 x Mountains
9 x Plains

22 Lands

4 x Territorial Hammerhead
4 x Raptor Companion
4 x Nest robber
4 x Frenzied Raptor
___________________
16 Creatures

4 x Renegade Freighter
3 x Sky Skiff
2 x Aradara Express
____________________
9 artifacts

3 x Firecannon blast
4 x Shock
3 x Cathartic Reunion
3 x Impeccable timing
_____________________
14 Other Spells

The whole point of the deck is to see the look on your opponents faces when you see one of your dinos crewing a train or flying on a sky skiff. For that alone I would rate this deck a success even if it does not get a consistent win rate.

So here is my usual Boros dino build of the most low cost dinos. Even if you don't get them to ride a vehicle they can pretty much attack and win you the game on their own but it would be a lot sweeter if you could picture them behind the wheel of a runaway train don't you think?

Don't worry this deck still has enough support for the sligh concept with Direct creature damage from Firecannon blast and Shock. As well Impeccable timing that deals with 3 toughness or less attacker or blocker. Not quite at the level of Celestial flare but it will do in this current standard pauper set up. Cathartic reunion gives you draw when all you have are lacking a vehicle or dino in your hand.

So let's go. Let the dino riders take you out for a spin. Welcome to the weird world of dinos crewing vehicles.

"Which potion would I drink?"

"Which potion would I drink?"
by:
Virgilio F. De leon Jr.MD

This was posted by a friend of mine and I saved it in hopes of answering it as mental exercise. Maybe just to eliminate and choose the best potion to drink. So here it goes.

#1 Green - Stay Forever Young

Hmmmmm. It gave me pause to consider this. Being young is great. Health and looks wise but if you already have poor health and look ugly then nothing much would change...forever.
Also it didn't say that you are immortal so you could still die to bullet or some funky disease. At least you look young in your coffin.

Pass

#2 Breathe in the Sea

The sea is filled with things that want to eat you or drag you to the depths. The sea can be dark and have really strong forces that can kill you even if you can breathe underwater. I guess I would choose this if I want to get it on with a hot mermaid but then again...they are part fish so that procreation part looks less and less appealing.

Pass

#3 Become Invisible anytime!

Now these has possibilities. From annoying people buy taking their coffee or food without them knowing , to being able to look at someone you like for hours on end without them knowing or robbing banks and such. You can be a spy , assassin or saboteur being unseen and all. You can also get out of work a lot of times with this. You just have to fade out.

Gulp gulp gulp.

#4 100000000000$ in cash

Now who doesn't like money right? And I literally had to count the zeros after the one. The only problem is that you probably need a big space to keep all this. Still , I am sure I can figure something out while I roll myself over all this dough.

Gulp gulp gulp

#5 Time Travel Anytime

I love where I am. There is a joy in the struggles of living and winning out and figuring things out to your advantage. While it would be tempting to go back in time to fix a past mistake or see future things before they happen there is a reason why time is linear. I prefer to be on that path.

Pass

So now I am invisible and rich. Time to look for more potions to drink.

"3 things I have seen this week: Gishath"

"3 things I have seen this week: Gishath"
by:
Virgilio F. De leon Jr.MD

For awhile now I have been writing about planning to build a Naya Dino EDH deck that has Gishath as its commander. Sadly with my PR kit and with pack openings in my Fat Bundles I have still yet to acquire him. It is kinda hard to miss someone so big but in card form he seems to be reaching into the hands of others other than mine. So here are 3 times that I saw Gishath somewhere and I wished that it would have been mine.

1) Mythic PR kit.

Before the start of our Pre release event in Playground Hobby shop I have been chatting with Aki about wanting to make my EDH deck around Gishath and was looking forward to opening it in one of my packs. I remember Aki wishing me goodluck. A couple of seconds Later Aki was the one opening a Gishath in what would turn out to be a Mythic PR Kit. Sigh.

2) PR big boss level.

On my last round of the Pre-release I came face to face with an opponent with the identical 2-1 win loss record. I know he was playing the 3 colors of Naya , Red , Green and White and I had an inkling that it would be massive dinos. I cast a duress to find out how massive. It was Gishath starting at me in the face. I don't know if the dino doesn't like me but I like it. It only seems to want to champ me in the face instead of me being it's master. My opponent had 2 copies of Gishath in his deck too! Luckily for me I was able to counter it before it even did a single point of damage. But why?!!!!

3) Jus Dino Finder

When the Ixalan singles came out in Neutral Ground Centris I took it upon myself to raid the binder and hoard the cards that I wanted to use for updates in my EDH decks like the Fleet Swallower who would be insane with Fraying Sanity. Phenax approves. I also got the common and uncommon dinos for my future dino EDH deck. I was feeling pretty good and in comes Jus who bought a single pack and what do you know? We got to the end and saw at the bottom that it was a 7/6 creature. It was mono colored so it was not Carnage Tyrant. Sigh. It was Gishath. And now Jus is also planning a Dino EDH. Which raises the possibility that the Dino Commander might well be taking a chunk out of me soon.

Now that I have written this I hope that fate would listen and land me this dino. I am itching to get started on making it a home. You hear that universe? Get me a Gishath! hahahahah

"Direfleet Ravager: A 3rd each time"

"Direfleet Ravager: A 3rd each time"
by:
Virgilio F. De leon Jr. MD

There is one artifact that I love and it is the awesome Mimic Vat.I love it so much so that every expansion I look at cards that I want to imprint on it.In Ixalan , among the things that I want to put on the Mimic Vat , Dire Fleet Ravager ranks pretty high on my list. Really High.

The 5 mana costed pirate has an enters the battlefield effect that severely affects the life total of each player. Yup he also affects you in what Magic calls a symmetrical effect. So what does he do exactly?

He cuts a 3rd of  each players life total every time he enters the scene. The 4/4 frame and menace also adds to the fact that he can make really bad situations for other players in your playgroup. If he can hit a couple of times ,  an opponent who already is suffering from life loss then it won't have to suffer for much longer. Menace lets him pass through single creature defenses and if they decide to block with 2 creatures then he takes out those creatures with his Deathtouch.

And if you have the Mimic Vat already in play you could go ahead and imprint him on it. Remember to activate at the end of your opponents turn so that you could reduce a 3rd of every one's life and then the activation on your turn gives you another Direfleet Ravager who cuts another 3rd of life. These 2 tokens are also 8 points of potential damage.

I did some math(Ewww Math as the Professor once said) and
just imagine , in EDH games the Direfleet Ravager can come in he instantly slices of 13 of each players lives (this is assuming that everyone still has 40 lives). And below is the progression if you are curious.

From 40 life: Direfleet Ravager enters!
13 life= 27
9 life = 18
6 life = 12
4 life = 8
3 life = 5
(At this point I got too lazy to finish computing and I had a patient come in for consultation...which is just my excuse not to finish the math)

Well well well.(Still eww Math). Mimic Vat and Direfleet Ravager is a mix that your opponents would not want to see. Just make sure that you are always ahead in life points or  you go down with everyone else. Leave that for Captains and their ships. Your business is merely victory.

Thanks for reading and keep on brewing.
