I

I once told you of the end

And you laughed at how serious I was

I told you that it was your dreams that would take you

And you said that that was not what you would want

II

I wanted to believe that it was not the case

But as the days passed the dream came nearer

Each step closer to it was another away from me

It was frightening but only I could see

III

Everyday you would smile and say those words

"I am here and always will"

Until the day your dream came true

And I am all that remains here.
