Why do I hesitate putting this final nail?

To be rid of you was what I wanted

I have prayed for it every day

So why now at this moment that I fail?

I guess I am still human to feel this 

To be afraid of this consuming darkness

I guess a part of me hates dying

To dwell in this aching emptiness

III

And though your voice drones on

Drowning all the rational in me

I raise the hammer and find

I need not hesitate at all
