Standing in front of the mirror

For a moment your image wavers

You smile and it speaks to you

You blink and hope it goes away.

"What shall we do today?"

You ignore the question

"Should we murder or pillage or rape?"

You look at the date

"So you forgot? Such a shame."

You look away.

"It's the day you killed her silly."

You hope it goes away.

You open your eyes

It is just you

And you finally see the monster

It is just you.
