"Red Khans Win 2014"

"Red Khans Win 2014"

A vast majority of Magic players are initially touched by fire. It is the color red that introduces people to the game and a lot become enamored with the volatile speed and power that represents red. People may move on to other things but there will always be something that people return to and that is the awesomeness of red.People never step out of the confines of Red and are always on the look out for the best Red Deck Wins deck. Red Khans Win 2014 might be that deck for this new set.

22 x Mountains

4 x War-name aspirant
4 x Monastery Swift Spear
4 x Frenzied Goblin
4 x Foundry Street Denizen
4 x Goblin Rabblemaster
2 x Purphoros , God of the Forge

20 creatures

4 x Lightning Strike
4 x Tormenting Voice
4 x Magma Jet
4 x Hordeling Outburst

16 spells

Red is always on the attack. It strives to move forward to deal maximum damage in the soonest possible time. Which is good for the War-name aspirant that would be sure to come in as a 3/2 threat in the coming turns. Foundry Street Denizen , Monastery Swift Spear and Frenzied Goblin are great one drops that could deal damage early. Frenzied Goblin makes sure that at least one creature is not able to block.

There are several combos in this deck involving Hordeling Outburst.
Foundry Street Denizen + Hordeling Outburst means that it gets a +3 and for its attack.
Purphoros , God of the Forge + Hordeling Outburst = Means  6 damage to each of your opponents. You take more than 1/4 of an opponents life and you are not even attacking!
Hordeling Outburst + Goblin Rabblemaster - Goblin Rabblemaster gets a +4/0 stat boost (3 Hordeling tokens and 1 token produced by Goblin Rabblemaster itself)

As an added bonus:
Goblin Rabblemaster + Purphoros , God of the Forge = 2 Damage every time the Goblin Rabblemaster produces a token.

Magma Jet and Lightning Strike make it easy for damage to go through as well as directly burning someone when they are in the danger zone.  Not to mention that it also pumps up the Monastery Swift Spear. So imagine burning someone with 2 successive Lightning Strikes. You dish out 6 damage and attack with a 3/4 Monastery Swift Spear for 9 damage!

And how do you make sure that you always have the cards you need? Tormenting Voice. Drawing 2 cards while getting rid of something that you do not need at the moment. Another spell that makes Monastery Swift Spear big as well.

RKW 2014 seems to be something that I want to run this year. Time to reach out and burn someone again.
