Here where you are now

I am clutching on to things that I know

things that should be gone by now

what better way things could have been

If I was better , I was someone else

If I was not the coward that I have been

Could I have saved you? As I wanted to

Could I have shouted my way

Could I have taken all this pain

Could I have made you alive and well?

But I am not that better man

And I am just as hollow as I was then
