I have often whispered

Maybe this time it will end

And I reach out for the light

Maybe it is just around the bend

Yet the light keeps on moving

It slips from my hands

The deadline keeps on skipping

like a frog on hot sands

And I only whisper

Those things that I want to hear

It will be over , it will be over

Though none of this is ever clear.
