I

It starts as an ember

in the very pit of my soul

till it howls and howls

declaring it wants more

II

And the more that I have

the emptier it feels

And the lesser I have

the emptier it feels

III

I touch and I smell

I taste and I see

but don't experience it at all

Nothing , nothing is real

IV

So I close my eyes

And hope that I dream

yet even then I remember

Nothing is even here.
