Asked the feelings I hid

Because normally you can't ask why

and so I only ask if you did.

Maybe I was trying to make it easy

because I still did not understand

How you can say those sweet words

and still strangle me with your hands.

Maybe I was not meant to know

how these things just flow

I feel like a fool

Not knowing where to go.

So I just keep asking that question

Not expecting a response

Did you love me?

Maybe you did not.
