"Griswold, the Dreadsower: Giveth and Taketh"

"Griswold, the Dreadsower: Giveth and Taketh"

Griswold the Dreadsower is one of those cards that thrive on death. Well being in the golgari colors that is not at all surprising. He does it in a surprising way though. You see he gives everyone a 1/1 Green plant token at the beginning of his controllers end step.

And whenever a creature token dies he gets to have a +1/+1 counter put on him. He literally gets bigger and stronger the more creature tokens die. It can come naturally in the course of battle but again why leave it to chance that attacking and blocking are the only way for these creatures to die?

With Griswold's colors it is not unheard of to have a Gravepact and Viscera Seer in the deck. Before your turn you could you could sacrifice your own 1/1 plant token to the Seer and all your opponents are obliged to sacrifice a creature as well. Now assuming that they will all sacrifice the 1/1 that you have given them and there are 4 of you playing. You now have a Griswold who is now a 7/7 Trampler starting on your turn. If Griswold, The Dreadsower is also your commander then that is going to be a lot of hurt right there and then at the end of your turn give more 1/1 plant tokens to everyone and then just take it away before your turn.

Evil and fun.Yes.
