I

I sit here alone

and I know that I am dying

I can deny the truth

but you know I would be lying

My cells degrade day by day

I have no call or say

I can only delay as I might

Still I grow old , weak and die

III

Yet I know there is a need

To Embrace this frightful truth

For in doing so I can enjoy

My life and Yours to the full.
