I see that pain in your eye

And I want to take it all away

I want to make you smile

because that too makes my day.

I know how you try and try and try

Through aching bones and bruised bodies

You persevere through the shouts 

Improve and reach through the doubts

Through sleepless nights and Dreamless tired sleeps

Through fears that you might not even share with me

And all I know is because I can feel

How tired you are from the screen

The twinkle in your eye is waning 

and so are your smiles

Oh how I long to bring those back for you

but I know that I cannot.
