"She pointed at it..."

"She pointed at it..."

When Aven was little and I was still undergoing my internship in De Los Santos she would often be left under the care of the people in our house in Karuhatan. One of them was my cousin Jong who was also awaiting his go signal so he could board a ship as a deck cadet. If you have read any of my previous posts then you would know that our ancestral house in Karuhatan is very haunted. Jong would now know how much.

Our Ancestral house consists of 3 townhouses that are interconnected by doors and a shared front gate. In the middle house is a stairs that leads to the Kitchen/Mezzanine area. Aven was about 3 or so and Jong was accompanying her that particular night. She was her usual playful self and Jong was busy just fixing a few things in the house. As the story goes Jong received a text that my mom was on her way home and he needed to go down to the 1st floor so that he could open the gate once the car arrives. My daughter was standing near the stairs and seemed to be laughing. Jong was curious to know what Aven was laughing about.

Aven pointed towards the bottom of the steps. To someone that Jong could not see. Aven said that she was making funny gestures and that was why she was laughing. Jong looked long and hard because there might have been someone who got in the house. No one was there. Aven kept on pointing and laughing. Jong began to feel the hairs on the back of his neck stand up and that was when he gently guided Aven away from the stairs near one of the windows and waited for the car to arrive. He never wanted to go down and would seldom stay in that area after dark.
