For a moment your eyes met mine

And I died just a little inside

Met with only that cold gaze

Knowing that the fire has died

One among the crowd I cheered

And smiled on as you danced

I have seen it a million times

I can't explain how it moves my heart

I felt it in that moment

The things you wanted to express

All your pain and misery

since the day you said Yes.

I stood for the last time

Saw you bow and wave

Maybe tomorrow will be better

A world where we not each others slave
