One can only see potential when you look at a card like Rix Maadi Reveler and commanders like The Locust God and Nekusar can only agree.

Having One Commander and have faced the other countless time I can see how a well placed draw , Wheeling and Dealing style can finish off opponents in no time and so I am looking at this Reveler particular ETB mechanic to help me in this department.

The Rix Maadi Reveler is a 2/2 for 2 mana that let's you discard a card and draw a card once it enters the Battlefield. At first glance this is also great for cards that have Jumpstart or Flashback. Or can even help in Black Red Reanimator strategies. Of course my main focus is in The Locust God and this helps with getting a free 1/1 Locust just for entering the battlefield and also serves as filter for your hand.

If you pay the Spectacle cost of 2 colorless and 2 red mana you can not discard your hand and then draw 3 cards. So for 4 mana you can potentially be throwing a lot of creatures and spells that you want in your graveyard and then draw the right Reanimation spell to get those same cards unto the battlefield. Of if you merely are running low on cards you can actually trade just 1 card for 3 if you set it right.

The Rix Maadi Reveler easily attracts you with it's Spectacle but it's controller who is probably about to spring a rather nasty surprise on you.
