(My name is not important. I have been sent to track down the survivors of the Zombie Infestation in Romblon. The task has proven to be difficult as there are a few of them left and fewer still those who could look at the events and still stay sane)

(The Goverment has sheltered this particular survivor/s. I had to pull a lot of strings to get this interview. At first glance the beautiful chinky eyed girl with the welcoming smile seemed like she could not survive a day in the mall  , least of all a zombie Infestation that nearly wiped out all of the islands inhabitants. 

The expressionless male on her right is my main concern this day.Through out that nightmare he ensured that they were able to make it. 

Through the interview the girls whispers to the man and he whispers back. She smiles each time and relay the answer to me like some sort of conduit)

"Michael here could be considered a genius. If it not for him I have been part of that Zombie horde that devoured Tablas island. Your question was that how was he able to do it right? He did what no one else in the world could do. He analyzed the undead , was able to understand how they moved , how they fed , all the patterns that he could discern and used it to our advantage. He did all that after just observing them once."

(So is this the reason why the government took an interest in him?)

"I believe so. It did not take long for someone to take us in when we floated all the way to Romblon , Romblon. Michael always said to me that we should not be afraid , that we could always unrun the Yawa. He was able to calculate their average walking speed regardless if it was a fresh reanimated corpse or a rotting one. He was able to come up with a very accurate walking speed which the soldiers who retook the island found very valuable. "

"Scientists were fascinated with how he found their grip strength and the average speed that someone would turn once bitten. Data that the government has used time and again in their recapture efforts of the whole Island."

"Of course knowing how fast a Yawa could walk did not guarantee your safety and for that Michael had something else. Let us just say that he remembers things."

(So he has a didactic memory?)

"Is that what they call it? I am not really sure what it was but once he passes by a particular place he knows the exact details and never forgets. When the people on the Bridge were overwhelmed and the Yawa from the North poured in it was just this guy and me in the town , hiding in the Community Mall , that pink building right in the center of it all. Staying at the 3rd floor was a good idea at the time and we locked ourselves in along with any food or water that we could carry. We bought tents and set up camp. The door was barricaded shut. I don't how long we stayed their but one time we looked out over the edge and saw the Town Plaza with what looked liked people trying to watch a show. The closer you looked though , the more your eyes could see that the whole Plaza was now filled with slow moving Yawa. "

(Michael Shivers at this point and frantically whispers to Hanie)

"I don't really want to tell you this miss but Michael already knows who you are and what organization you are working for. He knows that you are not here to collect any that would stop the Yawa in the future. You are here to stop any cure and strategy from stopping it. Michael remembers the men who tried to conceal themselves among the undead masses that day. People who were moving too fast and too purposeful to be merely dead. He knew the tattoos and symbols that they had. Though you are able to conceal yours , your right shoulder still bears the insignia of the Day Zero Project."

(It seems like I underestimated these survivors. No matter the risk I must carry out my mission. The projects work must continue into full fruition. Drawing 2 guns that was concealed in my person I emptied my clips at the 2. I was surprised to still see them standing unharmed.)

"Michael has memorized the speed of all guns. Unless you could improvise there is no way that you could kill us. We will expose the project for what it really is so that the world will know of its evil. There will be a price to pay for all those that you sacrificed to your horrors."

(You know I won't just stand by and let you do that now. If Michael is such a genius he should know that the Yawa are just the means to an end.)

"Save the propaganda"

(I threw a black USB toward the expressionless man.He just stared at it)

(Everything you need to know is there. Let him read it.It has all the known outbreaks in the last hundred years. Let him see for himself what the Day Zero Project is really doing. There is also an address there when you have finally come to your senses...)
