"Online Payment Woes"

Nowadays it is fairly common to know someone who works at home or through online services. I tried my hand in it as an SEO content writer. It was a pretty great job mainly because you get paid per article and have a weekly quota. No pressure until you run out of ideas. My payment was done through paypal and then funneled through a bank account. I never had any problems with it.My only problem was meeting the deadline and my Manager/Friend took care of it. There was no delay.
There are now thousands of estimated online workers both legal (Writers / Graphic designers / BPO processess / Med transcriptionists) and not so legal (Adult entertainment). The process of payment goes through Paypal then to Bank of America and then the local bank of choice which is Union Bank.
There are nightmare scenarios when it comes to online payment and here are two of them:
1)When your PayPal becomes your PayEnemy...
There have been times that Paypal becomes what my daughter calls PayEnemy. It stops being a pal and makes your life miserable when it does not credit your money on time. The transaction merely does not complete and the money is withheld. The reason that PayEnemy gives is that there is a random security check that is being done on accounts and they have no idea which account will be subjected to it. All they can say is that the payment will be with held for a standard period of 7 days. If you are the one being affected by this then it causes a lot of stress , money that you have worked hard for is denied and if you are the responsible type you have already alloted that money for groceries or bills in that specific period of time. Bills would still need to get paid even though the money is late. This random security check might be the reason for a lot of supervisor calls to Pay Enemy.
If this type of delay has happened to you several times I don't think that it is a randomized check but a glitch in the PayEnemy system that they would not acknowledge. The best thing to do is to just cancel the account and create a new one.
2) Onion Bank...The bank that makes you cry...
There are times when you and PayEnemy becomes good Paypals again but its the local bank that suddenly develops a problem. The usual process involves your payment being received by Union Bank by 5pm to 7pm the following day after it has been cleared through paypal. Sometimes there can be a delay in the clearing time. The problem is when the payment will fall on a Friday! Onion Bank would really make you cry in frustration because if you are on your last legs during that day you would simply have to wait until the money is cleared by Monday the following week. Good bye Massages , Good bye Weekend Gimik , Good bye payments to everyone.
On a side note: Union Bank will also be charging 10 pesos per withdrawal through their Eon account. The first 2 withdrawals for each month used to be free. It was your 3rd withdrawal that got you the 10 peso charge. It does not seem like much but if you look at it. If you get paid weekly then you will be making withdrawal 4 times a month. 40 pesos. Doesn't seem like much but when you multiply that to about 10,000 then that is 400,000 per month! Way to go in Milking the Online Workers!
With these nightmare scenarios aside Online work is great because of the great hours and the time that you could spend doing a lot of other things.Spending time with family or even a hobby. If you are industrious enough you could hold several projects at a time and get three times the salary. There is no tax too. This is something that you might want to try in the future. Just always learn how to protect yourself because on the internet you never just know who is lurking.
I feel you bro! Super!
