I
I don't know why
but the chains were off tonight
And I could say what was in my head
like nothing would ever happen again
II
And yet I know that it wont last
this feeling of a high
because it all crashes
but it might let me soar for awhile
III
I sway my head to the music
let it carry me there
this place I founded
where I keep all that is decent/indecent
IV
The waves they engulf me
and I stand in the sand
sinking but not sinking
with this knowledge in my hand
V
And I heard those distant things
the memories that I have locked
Maybe tonight , maybe tonight
I can say goodbye to my chains.
