A Teamlead called the clinic looking for an agent who has been missing for about an hour.

Nurse: "Sorry Sir pero according sa log book wala pong agent na pumupunta sa amin with that name."

Pagkababa ng phone may pumasok na Agent.

Agent: "Ah Sir , sabi po ng TL ko for rest daw po ako."

Upon assessment it was determined that no rest was needed and that patient was sent back to the floor.

Turns out this was the missing agent who already took the rest even before going to the clinic. Winner!

Magusap kayo ni TL!

"On Love Expressions"

 "On Love Expressions"

If you ever decide to date someone in the future. One of the things that you should know about them is how they show love and affection.

Some can be silent but are protective of you. Some might not be good with dates but remember a random food you craved or song that you liked.

Some are great at saying what they mean or know how to soothe you with a word or two. Some say nothing.

Some are great at showing physical affection. Like a cute tug at your shirt or the way that they hold your hand or how they would hug you randomly for no reason at all.

Some are great at surprising you and some surprise you that they are not good at surprises. But just because they do not express love in the way that you feel that you should be loved does not mean that they love you less.

People just express themselves differently and problems arise when we do not recognize this.

"The 8 Show: Nothing is Really Free."

One of the things that humans should learn is that if someone gives you money, it is rarely for free.

There is an exchange and The 8 Show will make you wonder if you can live through what that exchange can be.

Hitting on the emotional core of Greed and Desperation the show focuses on 8 players and speaks about the issues of the present. May it be the failed attempts at something or the down of his luck person. From the structures of society to what decency means.

If you are a fan of The Squid Game and have grown tired of when Season 2 will eventually be released , then The 8 Show should satisfy your craving.

Please be warned that it is not for the faint of heart. All while I was watching it I was recalling what Jafar said as he became a Genie, "You'd be surprised what you can live though."

The Showrunners really knew how to hook you in and believe me it is one of those shows that you will want to see through to the end even if it may make you feel uncomfortable....A lot.

"Godzilla Minus One: Bringing back the heart of the stories."

Godzilla Minus One is not just a Monster Movie. It is about the humans that try to go up against him as well. This movie is just what the Doctor ordered. If you have been watching something lately and found yourself dozing off or not even feeling a thing for the characters in a movie , then this might be the movie for you.

I have always loved monsters movies like this but more than the monsters , you have to actually feel for the humans that will go on the impossible task of beating the monster and why they should beat it.

Godzilla Minus One makes you feel for the turmoil that is eating up the main character Koichi so that in every step of the way you can feel his anguish but he is met with people who are also very human in their struggles and need to be redeemed as well.

More than the great action pacing and great visuals of this movie is that core of emotion , that need to see this through to the very end.

If you watched this and not felt anything at all then you are very jaded indeed.

Went in to watch it with no expectations but ended up pleaaantly satisfied with the great cinematic shots , the crash course in Ainu culture , the introduction of interesting characters.  The main lead Immortal Sugimoto poses a lot of questions even at the very end of this movie.

After reading in history books of how Ainu were treated this movie gave me several insights and comparisons as to how some may still have city vs provincial views of certain people in our own society.

Also…

Asirpa has really great teeth for someone who grew up hunting in the mountains. Ainu tribes probably have great dental plans.

Makes me want to check the manga I have saved in my hard drive but never got to reading all those years ago. I guess now is the time.

All in all a good action packed  introduction that will get you interested.

To put it badly , 1917 and it's entire plot could have been prevented if they had a single working phone in that day and age.

Kidding aside 1917 is a harrowing journey to get an important message across enemy territory in order to save hundreds of lives.

This movie offers both horrifying and contrasting beautiful scenes of that war torn area as the messengers travel through it. One of the best I have seen in awhile.

The build up for the action scenes are intense and you feel the moments where the characters are driven to complete what they have started. All in all a very entertaining film worth the time you spent on it.

A patient was referred due to possible allergy after consuming fish a few hours earlier.

Me: “Anong isda po yung nakain niyo Maam?”

Patient: “Kinain ko lang po. Di ko po kilala.”

Me: (So napadaan lang at kinain niyo) Maliit po ba o malaking isda?

Patient: “Para po siyang malaking…di ko po kilala.”

Now you’re just a fish that I used to know.

We work with people who always lack proper sleep so we often ask the question:

“Ilang oras po ang tulog ninyo?”

And we often know the severity of sleep deprivation by their answers:

“Kanina po?”

“Bukas po ba?”

“Nung isang linggo po?”

“Huh…Tulog?”

“Iaabot ko na lang po bukas…”

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Lunes pa lang yan minsan. I love my job!

I have many patients who come back to me for follow up. I sometimes need to ask questions like:

"Kailan mo nga ulit sinimulan inumin ang gamot mo?"

And I would get answers like.

"Nung pagbalik ko po after ng Maternity."

"Siguro po nung buhay pa yung Nanay ko."

or

"Panahon pa po ni Digong."

Yes. I love my Job.

With Wotc focusing on the unstable Dragon Tempests in Tarkir , I would not be surprised if Eris is originally from Tarkir. The guy makes dragons when you cast your second spell each turn and these are the 4/4 with flying and prowess kind that stay on the battlefield.  The small but deadly kind.

Eris seems a bit on the heavy mana cost side but in a focused deck you will only be paying izzet colors most of the time. Plus this guy has prowess so if you have a storm deck then there is that possibility of a one shot KO via commander damage.

"The Mother of Machines: The Drive for Compleation EDH deck."

"The Mother of Machines: The Drive for Compleation EDH deck."

The whole catalyst for the Phyrexian invasion was the ambition of Elesh Norn to Compleat the multiverse and during that time even though I had all of these pieces I was not able to compleat my own EDH deck.  So one day in July I was able to sit at my Nerdlab and finally got all of these things together to create:

EDH Deck #174 - Elesh Invasion Mode deck.

While I might not have been satisfied with how the Phyrexian arc ended I know that they will still be back, most likely half a decade or so from now. We will see.

Ever since I opened this card from that Special Bundle(opened it from the very first pack!) I know that I would eventually make this deck themed around her aggressive invasion plans.

Combining Infect and Toxic creatures has always been my dream and now here they are. And I simply cannot wait for the Infect Crit that has Armored Ascension and Spirit Mantle on it to make someone bubble bwahahahah

Now to try this one out pretty soon bwahaha

(Insert more phyrexian maniacal laughter here)

"Eldrazi Phyrexians: A shelved Wotc plan."

"Eldrazi Phyrexians: A shelved Wotc plan."
by:
Virgilio F. De leon Jr.MD

The mere fact that this play test card existed is a testament that Wotc was considering Phyrexianizing the Eldrazi. However I think that that would be a mistake on their part.

It makes you wonder why no Phyrexian went to Innistrad's moon while knowing(most likely) that there was a potential asset that they could acquire to easily win the plane. Mama Emrakul was there. Why? I mean a single drop of oil is what it would really take. Or did the Phyrexians sense the anger of Emrakul and her influence before even approaching her?

This card however is a more plausible option , given that Old Kozilek and Ulamog were burned to a crisp by Chandra , Phyrexians just need a little bit of viable DNA. Now I am not sure if they could get that from the Eldrazi creature lines , but then again Phyrexians can just reverse engineer the progenitors from these scions and other beasts.

However , Wotc might have a little bit of trouble explaining how they can stop Eldrazi Phyrexians from spreading to the Blind Eternities and by extension into other planes. Maybe that is what stopped them from doing this whole plan. Maybe they are saving it up for later.

Wotc has basically jailed every major baddie they have had in the past few years. So when the Phyrexians return (and they will return for sure) they would need to set their sights on some of these options.  With the introduction of new Eldrazi like Zhulodok , Azlask or even the fused Ulalek who knows how much the Phyrexians can regain in no time at all.

Only time will tell.

"It came from nowhere: The CRC Banning Fiasco and how I recovered from the sting."

"It came from nowhere: The CRC Banning Fiasco and how I recovered from the sting."

by:

Virgilio F. De leon Jr.MD

That recent ban from the Commander Rules Committee made me upset but it did make me recall how I got those banned items and the memories made me feel a little better before feeling the sting of reality once more.

My mana crypt was in the last pack in the box of Mystery Booster box that I bought during the pandemic. Despite the gloom and doom I felt at  that time it made me happy when I finally got one. It was an intense, heart pounding moment when I saw it as I opened my last pack.

My Dockside extortionist came with the Commander Pre Constructed deck before the demand for it peaked so it was just a gem in the normal price of a commander deck.

And my Jeweled Lotus was given at a very good discounted rate because I had a good relationship with my local game store.

And Nadu. I got it on the tail end of  when the prices dropped from my favorite supplier.

So all in all those memories sort of balanced out the sting. And when I realized that I can still play it with my friends and I am not really into the competitive formats then it lessened that sting even more.

It just made me wonder why they had to do this all of a sudden. When personally I really have no game time and some of the joy I felt was that I just had these staples ready when and if I can rejoin my friends in battle.

It just felt like an insane move.
