I will not be angry

When I tower over you like this

You try to throw me punches

I guess they have to hit me first.

You spit out your words

You tell me your hate

You think you reached me

But know that nothing else has changed

You think you hurt me

Yeah , just think of who you hurt?

You think you treat me like dirt

Well know that that turns on you instead.

IV

The problems in your head

are floating all in there.

You want me to reach out

but know that I never will.

V

You are not my problem

but I am probably yours.

I will not be angry

Know that your issues are all your own.

I whisper in this darkness

Your name that I cannot remember

waking up to this

and your image still lingers

An after thought that never goes

stuck in this place once more

When letting go is in between

of accepting what is the truth

So you reach back and touch my face

and I hope that you are real

and I hope that this is all the I would feel

all I could feel

IV

Yet there is nothing

that replaces the pain of a thousand deaths

A thousand that is one

and One that is yours.

V

I whisper your name in the darkness

and I hoped that you would whisper back.

Hoping that for tonight I would hear those words.

Yet there darkness is all that there is.
