"The Haunted Elevator"

"The Haunted Elevator"

While I was still reviewing somewhere in E.Rodriguez I had a classmate that looked a lot like Bob from the recent Monster University movie. He had the same moustached and receeding hairline and the same built as the lovable monster. Never got to know his name so I just called him Bob whenever we bumped into each other in the corridors during breaks.

Now our lecture hall is situated at the 3rd floor and you could either take the stairs or ride an elevator going up. I initially felt something about that elevator but I didn't pay any attention to it because I was very anxious about the upcoming exams.

One particular day my friend Leslie and I decided to take the elevator and Bob along with a couple of others decided to join us. We tried to close the elevator door but all of a sudden the over the weight limit alarm went off. There was a total of 5 people on that lift and none of us were on the heavy side. Bob said that a couple of days back the lift was filled and there was no alarm that went off. Bob smiled nervously at one of his friends as the door closed again. We went off and while we were walking Bob struck a conversation with me about the elevator.

He said that during our 2nd day of Review he rode the elevator alone and found that there was already someone in the elevator. He was not sure if it was a man or woman  , he just knew someone was there before him and he got on , turned his back on the person. This was rather odd because this particular lift usually was just parked at the ground floor so to open it with someone already in it was odd to say the least. Bob pressed the 4th floor button , no one else pressed anything.  The lift ran up to the 4th floor and Bob waited for The person behind him to go down but he or she seemed to have vanished into thin air.

In our experience today Bob was certain that they weren't just 5 of us in that elevator today. I agreed with him. I never got on the lift again.
